This sort of date is good for perhaps a 5th or 6th date where you have maybe both decided you like each other enough to hang out in daylight hours and without alcohol, imagine! I know day dates can sometimes indicate you have been friend-zoned and yes for a first date this is true but by the 5th date it’s pretty safe I’d say!
You can browse the market which is lined with lots of cute little cafes to grab a coffee as you walk about, as well as lots of small art galleries, deli’s and shops selling antiques, vintage fashion and furniture which are nice to browse. This is a lovely thing to do on a lazy Sunday and most girls like flowers, is the word on the street, so you can win extra points for buying your date a bunch or 3. It’s ridiculously cheap – especially if you go towards the end of the afternoon as they start selling everything at a discount. The nearest tubes are Old Street and Bethnal Green, but if you walk in the direction of the people carrying orange trees and gigantic bouquets you will find it easily!
If the whole no alcohol and daylight thing all gets a bit much, never fear! It will eventually get dark, I promise. There are also some pubs dotted about the area – the Royal Oak and the Birdcage are both good choices!
Open on Sundays only 8am-3ish.
